I have been out on Lake Rotoiti and Lake Rotorua in the last few days with charters, getting some nice trout out of Rotoiti on the down rigger and good numbers of trout out of lake Rotorua harling. Have been seeing large balls of smelt on lake Rotorua and the trout have been so full the smelt are spilling out their mouths when landed. Alan and Julie landed five rainbows this morning when we were out on lake Rotorua fishing.

Had a couple of days charter fishing out harling on lake Rotorua with some nice trout caught.
There is a huge amount of smelt about at the moment with the trout coming on in fits n starts.

Had a nice afternoon out on lake Rotoiti yesterday, we caught several nice rainbow trout on the downrigger withe the lures at 80ft whilst trolling the 100ft contour.

Out for an afternoon trolling session on lake Rotoiti today, got one nice 5 pound rainbow trout into the boat and lost a couple of others.

A good couple of hours harling on Lake Rotorua produced three nice rainbow trout, two of which were keepers.
